This lecture covers the foundational principles that led the different Imams to give alternate descriptions to the Prophet's prayer - may Allah grant him mercy and peace. It helps the listener to understand why Muslims pray in different manners; just as it clarifies the statement of the Prophet - may Allah grant him mercy and peace, "Pray as you've seen me pray." (Sahih) The listener will gain a deeper acquaintance with the principles of the Hanafi, Maliki, and Hanbali Schools regarding the prayer and why some of them did not act upon certain hadiths. This, as other lectures of Ustadh Abdullah bin Hamid, raise awareness of the richness and broadness of the Islamic legal tradition.
