A unique presentation and look at the origins of Shiism and what distinguishes them from Sunnis. This excellent lecture presented by Ustadh Abdullah bin Hamid seeks answers to questions like, what do Shiites truly believe? Are they really Muslims? Is it true they worship 'Ali? Do they have a different Qur'an than the Sunnis? Is there justification for the disputes between them and the Sunnis and the killing between the two groups in Iraq and elsewhere? Are their arguments about the Imam baseless or not? And many more questions. This is by far one of the most balanced and unpolemical clarifications of the Shi'ah doctrine although by a Sunni. It is a very sincere step toward trying to bring an end to the centuries' old disputes between the two factions of Muslims. The hope is that Shiites will equally exert their efforts in trying to properly and sincerely educate the Shiite masses about Sunni doctrine until people stop indiscriminately and unjustifiably launching accusations of unbelief against one another.
